Patricia Cameron, ABC, Founding Partner

Patricia has more than 25 years in the communications/public relations field. She began her career and gained much of her corporate experience with a Fortune 1000 telecommunications company. There, she set integrated communications strategy for the company; led the development and integration of the company brand; developed strategic and well-focused communications programs that promoted, protected and differentiated company image; developed community relations strategies and oversaw community activities and outreach efforts; and developed and implemented strategic media relations programs targeting key industry, business and trade press.

She left her position as Vice President of Corporate Communication for CenturyTel to work from home and raise three boys. She formed Green Leaf Ink, a consulting firm providing strategic communication planning and development services, media management, media and public speaking training, speech-writing, and external communications counsel on a contract or project basis. She has trained hundreds of key leaders how to speak in public settings as well as respond to media interviews.

Years of experience in her field along with a desire for collaboration inspired Patricia and her colleague, Johnna, to combine their talents and start their own firm, that is today known as Great Minds Communication. Patricia serves in the community, has held many professional roles and received numerous awards. She holds a degree in Public Relations from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where she has served as an adjunct professor. She has earned the designation, Accredited Business Communicator (ABC), a credential program recognizing communicators who have reached a globally accepted standard of knowledge and proficiency in their chosen field, by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), having served at the district and international levels. She is a Public Relations Association of Louisiana Practitioner of the Year and a 2007 Leadership Louisiana graduate.
