It’s no secret that one of the keys to a good marketing campaign is through the use of video. Youtube is the second most used search engine and more video content is uploaded to the internet in a single month than network television has produced in three decades. According to Social Media Today, Facebook predicts that predicts that by 2020, over 75% of the world’s mobile data traffic will be video. We’re discussing six tips for the best on-camera performance.
No. 2️⃣️ YOUR POSTURE
▶️ Have a positive mindset; it will be reflected in the way you stand and how you carry yourself.
▶️ Practice good posture. Whether sitting or standing, keep your shoulders back and back straight. Maintaining a positive body language will help you be perceived as more authoritative and improves your on-camera presence, as a whole, giving value to what you’re speaking on.
▶️ Use your hands! Using your hands moderately is a powerful aspect of self-expression. It’s best to keep your elbows bent around the mid-section of your body. That way your hands will be above your waist and below your shoulders – visible but not in the way! Finding a good place for your hands helps you not to fidget and ensures they aren’t distracting to viewers.
▶️ Watch Your Body Language because Everyone Else Will. Remember, according to Patricia Mercer Cameron, “more than half of all human communication takes place nonverbally.” Your body should convey your energy and intelligence without being stiff.
