CHALLENGE
The goal of OPENetwork was to make high quality early care and education available to all children in Ouachita Parish and ensure that all children will enter kindergarten healthy and ready for success. Parents seeking a publicly-funded program would now have an open enrollment period and would have to follow an application process. The clients desire was to begin with a website to disseminate information about the program and utilize other media to promote the website. The site needed to be informative, easy to maneuver, accessible, and answer all the key questions to make the change in process as hassle-free as possible for the thousands of families that would now be utilizing this tool for finding appropriate education for their child.

SOLUTION
Working with the client as well as other partner agencies involved, we came up with a creative solution of a 3 step process quickly explain what they needed to do in order to get their children signed up. We started with 1) What are my options? 2) Do I qualify? 3) How do I apply?
This turned what could have been a bureaucratic, complicated process into something as simple as 1,2, 3.

RESULTS
The site is now being replicated by other pilot agencies involved in the program.
